become an installer
Sharp has trained more installers than any other solar manufacturer in the world. Proper installation of Sharp solar electric systems requires a thorough understanding of solar principles, components, capabilities, and practical considerations like wiring and mounting hardware. In order to maintain high standards of product performance, safety and customer satisfaction, Sharp provides the most comprehensive installation training in the industry.
Who should attend the training sessions?
A full two-day course is required for all new installers of Sharp solar residential grid-tied systems such as the OnEnergy™ solar system. State-licensed contractors who complete the course and pass Sharp's comprehensive exam will receive formal certification for installations. Non-licensed individuals may enroll but will not be formally certified.
What does the training cover?
The two-day course is a blend of classroom discussion and hands-on installation experience on simulated rooftops at the Sharp Training Centers. You'll follow a typical solar installation step-by-step from specification to completion, and receive a technical manual that will serve as a highly effective field reference. You'll be able to put your new skills to work immediately for residential grid-tie installations.
